help needed on 100gs sheffield area.

have r100gs on sorn,unfortunately.rebuilt topend last year. no charge on electrics.either diode board, alternator or summat thats beyond me. if there is anyone in the sheffield area with knowlege please contact me.
i want to learn rather than let a garage do it.

Don't panic Mr Mannering...
Before you go any further, just check that the Alternator brushes are not stuck in the holders...
I've had same prob on my R75/7 and on my Guzzi and Sid has had one on his RS in last 3 months ....
I use Malpins spray contact cleaner
Shame your a newbie and not got your name down for the WeeKend airhead do in Devon 17th 19th this month...

Also check all yer connectors
If its been to bits they/you may have not connected one of um
Does it run Ok after you have charged battery up = total loss system
