My mate has a 1000 RT, and last w/end we overhauld the rear brakes,
new master piston, seals dust seals. However when we are bleeding the rear brake there does'nt seem to be much peddle, even if we pump the peddle it only just about stops the wheel, but not much resistance there, all the air appears to be out, no bubbles when bleeding. any sugestions please.

Thanks
Al.

Keep bleeding a bit longer, backwards works well, you still have a little bubble somewhere.

Hi Al, make sure the spring plate is the correct way up otherwise the little tangs gets in the way of the pads and holds them off. How do I know .......doh :blast

Take the pedal off

Ive had this before many years ago on a Kawasaki zxr750,before I went to beemers obviously.
I bled the life out of the front brake on this occasion but only had a small amount of pressure building up and just about stopping the wheel.
In the end I took the brake lever off and used a blunt instrument to pump the mechanism inside the lever housing. This seemed to force loads more air out and hey presto my brake was back to normal.
Not sure if it would work for your bike or how the rear brake looks on it but it might be worth a try.
