help needed

i have just installed avg v8.5 since then i have stopped recieving e-mail notification of threads i have subscribed to would this system have blocked this service? thanks in advance

Hmmm

I don't see why this would stop the mails coming in, unless it thought they were spam. Check your spam folder in your email client. Also, if you know the mail address the mails used to come from, ensure it's added to your safe senders list. There may be some mail specific settings in the virus software you need to check, but I presume you are getting other mails as normal.

Can you send mail to yourself from this site? Does that come through?

I'm running AGV8.5 fully up to date under Vista with Windows Mail and thread notifications come to me OK. I've left all the AVG settings the way they were when I installed it.

i am the same but with xp and hotmail getting p.m's ok but no notifications

think i might have cracked it checked e-mail addy on the forum and have entered correct version and have had one notification so far so good
