The kitchen commander has, after many years of bitching moaning and moping (by me not her) finally relented and told me to "just f*cking buy one" :JB

However this leaves me with the dillema of funding a new set of wheels.

So if anyone can send me the winning numbers for next weeks lottery jackpot I'd very grateful! :augie

Here's to living like a hermit for the foreseeable future, anyone want a transalp?

I know what you have been through, it has taken me 2 years to persuade my wife to let me buy a motorbike. New GSA arriving in March. :bounce1

Happy days! The lottery plan didn't pan out so I've gotten a loan, paid my deposit and when I get home from Scotland I'm picking up my new R1200 GS SE! :JB

Just don't tell the wife :augie

Pictures to follow very soon!

boys, boys, boys..... you do know that's not what she means don't you... :blast

We'll burn that bridge when we come to it :augie :)

T minus 8 days and counting! We were up in Glenshee on Sunday, as Arnie said "I'll be back". Ye are all welcome Spain and the Alps, I'm coming back here this summer! :flag

:JB Got the new bike at lunch time, it looks the mutts :drool

Of course now it's started snowing and I'm terrified to go home on it :blast

Guess we'll see if the ASC really does work. Photo's (or more likely link to photo's) tomorrow.

i trained a middle aged Bank manager a few years ago.
he told me how he came to finally get a Bike after not having one in his youth.
he announced at home "i'm getting a Motorbike!" :bounce1 to his Wife.
she - not impressed, replied "there's no way you're bringing a motorcycle to this house!" :wife

he retorted
"lookit - it's midlife crisis - it's either a motorcycle or a Mistress" ( )

he said two weeks later he came home with a Bike / the Wife said nothing. :augie

Good Luck ;)

Got home in one piece! It's true, if you want a GS don't test ride it. Nice stress free commute despite being on a spanking new pair of wheels.

Now I just need a bigger shed!

You sound like a really happy chap, enjoy yer new ride friend.
P.S. Spain is beckoning, you will like :D
