Help - pannier lock failed

GS plastic pannier - the lock don't work any more!

It will take my key, but won't rotate to open. It's currently in "carry mode" with the carrying handle up, but not the case latch obviously.

How can I open the lock to re-set the tumbers?

Has the red tab been bent down at all? Happened to mine once and caused it to not open until it got re adjusted

A little progress . . .

I managed to rotate the barrel and red tab without the key in so I've at least got the puppy open.

However, to take the barrel out the key has to be in it, and it won't take the key in this position! I need the key to be in it to release the bottom latch wafer so that I can take the whole barrel out.

I suspect when I originally recoded the lock something wasn't quite right . . . .

Any lock pickers going to the HogRaost?

Sorted.

I took it over to the very nice guys at North Oxford Garage, who removed the lock and re-coded the tumblers (Yes, they were coded wrongly by some un-namable Tosser). Job's a good 'un!

I took mine to a proper locksmith to sort and saved a lot of grief and expense as I didnt want to line BMW pockets again

The will normally do a good job
