My lads on my GS in Germany atm and bike was fine yesterday, went 300metres today and bike started lurching took rear caliper off and found this. Anyone know how or why this may have happened? Rear bearing failure maybe?
Any info please asap 34ab700e-7449-4aa3-9c25-77971f227960.JPG

Possibly (very likely) it’s the final drive bearing that’s failed/failing, allows the rear wheel/disc to move. Is there any oil residue ariond where the rear wheel attaches to the final drive ? If the bearing is failing the movement fecks up the final drive flange seal.

This happened to me when I didn't tighten the wheel nuts up enough and they came lose. 😬

Hoping it's what I did and not a failing bearing. 🤞

when my big bearing went , the disc kissed on the very outside circumference of the disc , against the caliper plate .
he needs to pull the wheel off and inspect.
