I have just bought from Nippys a new
MACHINE-ART MudSling - R1200GS,R1200 Adventure 08 on where it states will fit 08 ADV and on even with ESA fitted but having messed around with it for over 1/2 a hour I cant see how it can fit there is a black box for the rear shocker in the way, Maybe its me? And can you fit it with the pannier rails in situ? But if anyone has fitted the new Mudslliger on a 09 ADV with ESA advice would be good and most welcome!

Have they sent you the correct one, there are two types, the one for the Esa should have a recess in the moulding to clear the box?

Hi I fitted one on my 2007 1200ADV in mins, no bother, But you may have just woken me up! As OK I had a hard Saturday night and today I have not been at my best! But yes the Mudguard has a recess and looking at it the black box is on the N/S of the bike and that makes the recess on the left of the plastic guard, which means the tong go's towards the front of the bike?

NOT TO THE REAR LIKE I HAVE JUST BEEN TRYING TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING OF MY HEAD........................................

I am right arn't I?

Thanks for the pictures guys, managed to fit it this afternoon after much messing with the screws - when they went in the job took all of 30 seconds

Well, I'm having the same problem trying to install it on my 2009 GSA. I tried for an hour yesterday and a further 45 minutes today after reading this post. I don't know if my ESA has been set in the wrong position, but there is no way in hell that I can fit the mudsligner. The recess in the mudslinger does not align with the ESA. The ESA extends about 1/4" below the recess in the mudslinger. Any advice?????

Well, apparently I have the wrong part which would explain why it won't fit on my bike. Seems like there is a new version for 2009 which compensates for the modified drainage tube. At least I know I'm not going crazy or doing something wrong. However, looks like I'll have to shell out more $$ for a new model.
