OK quick story bike not used 1 month, replaced battery last week. Used bike first time today and runs rough exhaust sound like a harley and was surguing. Got off bike and box under that goes into exhause glowing red hot. Thought might be prob with air filter when i replaced battery. Checked all seems ok tightened it back up. Only got 7 miles to go home any ideas?

Also now struggling to tick over can i change this ? How? I love my bike and she is sick can anyone help?:blast

Check that the right-hand throttle cable end is seated correctly at the throttle body.

Very common after lifting/removing the tank.

Hail to all of you

I've just done it..... Oh the joys of 1100 ownership.. And the great history of this site!

Err, me too, probably.
Lifted tank yesterday to change out clutch switch then went to head off to work this morning and its coughing and farting so had to take the car.
Got to be a record for finding the most probably cause - 1st thread!

Mine was exactly the same as the picture in post 4.. Nice thing is you don't have to lift the tank again.. Mine was right side so just popped the seat and panel off... Job done
