I enjoyed a nice ride out yesterday to visit a mate at a MX practice track. When I found my mate in the car park I remained sat on my bike, as we were chatting he was holding his MX jersey which he didn't realise was touching the header pipe!

So any ideas on what best way to remove the baked on nylon?

The first time it happened to me I used Gunk and WD40....and a lot of elbow grease.

Last time I got a plastic bag on it, I just let it cook on and it dropped off eventually. That required no elbow grease.....your choice

gotta say, I'm one of those that never cleans the bike. gets a wash twice a year if it's lucky. I bought my bike to ride not polish. I reckon brasso would probably do the trick though.

His jumper. His negligence. Get him to remove it, would seem to be the best way.

actually it was a jersey,different removal tecnique i think

If it's the chrome exhaust don't use anything abrasive like brasso or autosol.

To make it worse, it was my jersey!!!


PS That bike's a credit to you.

The bike is only 4 weeks old, done 3k so far and I plan to keep it looking as good as possible. To much money to neglect it
