Hi

Has anyone got an SR10/SMH10 setup in Hampshire or surrounding counties? I'm trying to find out if I have a faulty unit: I have a Wintec A80 and am connecting it to the SR10 via an Icom lead - the pins are exactly the same and the same distance apart, it's the nearest sena lead I can get to match.

When connected up I can transmit OK but I can't receive, I just get buzzing. If I can test it connected up to one of the setups already provided for by Sena eg a Kenwood then I can work out whether it's a bad lead/PMR combination or my new SR10 is faulty.

BTW: I have access to three Wintec PMRs so have been able to discount the fact that one might be faulty (unless I'm being extremely unlucky).

Failing that I'll have to find a helpful dealer but as I bought it into the UK I don't know how willing they might be to help.

Many thanks
Mark

Help no longer needed, have confirmed SR10 all fine. Now have to work out which connector will work to my Wintec A80, I know it's not the Icom as I can transmit but not receive, only other recourse is to try the Midland and if that fails buy a new PMR.

Have you spoken to Intaride as they used to supply the Wintec A80.I recently sent them a Starcom and they made up an extension lead to fit between it and one of their headsets.I got fed up with keep bending pins on the Starcom mini din.

I have been speaking to Intaride about this as I am going to buy one of their radios to work with the SR10, the small IR300 uses a 4 pole 3.5mm connector so they told me that can just take the original plug off and wire a new one. Mark how have you found the SR10 anyway, does it work well ?
