Help wanted Heated grips not working

Bike has been stored for 2 months on trickle charger.
Started first time ....took it for about 5 mile run
No heat out of grips on both settings
Any ideas?

I'm going to guess they worked before the layup?
The best place to test is at the grips themselves as there are no fuses, and the clever switching on bit is done in a control unit.

Battery not at full charge. I know you say it's been on trickle but I have a similar set up and after lay up for a period the grips don't work until it's had a good run. Then off, and on again and work fine.

It's the battery safety thingy....

My grips have never been a problem but they struggle to get hot at the best of times so probably never have pulled full power.

Mine did that once after the battery had been disconnected

Take it for a good run, turn it off leave it a few minutes and then try again

If both aren't working, it's not the grips themselves. So it may well be a self protecting feature.
Wait and see after a good run.
