Hi Guys,

On a ride out I got some water in my engine, oil turned to emulsion. I have done 3 Oil changes but am still getting white s**t and water droplets on the oil filler cap. How can I get rid once and for all.

Cheers :beerjug:

Water in oil

Probably a 100 mile ride in hot weather would help! Ah well.....

:D

i just go on a good run & get the engine nice & hot the water turns to steam & goes out the breather ' you have changed the oil so its only a small amount of moisture.
I come off so many times in water my mates started calling me the man from atlantis :mmmm

My partner drowned her trail bike a while back, I had to change the oil 7 times before it was clear.

You could use a flushing oil or get some cheap supermarket engine oil and change it several more times, running it for a couple of minutes between changes.

When you're happy replace with your normal oil.

but don't risk asking for advise on which oil here:D

Sorry Tim, can't believe you posted some advice in the 1200 section so have fixed it for you :D

Andres

I could have pointed out that Mouse off this forum also flooded his 1200's engine, the result was a written off bike...but I didn't.

BTW Mouse now has a KTM not another 1200:P
