I've taken the front panels and beak off my new toy GSA (2010 Mk3) and can't put them back together
or to be more accurate when I do I've a couple of nuts and bolts left over
Can anyone tell me where this crimped nut with retained wash and bolt fit?
I guess if BMW have gone to the expense of fitting the washer and crimping the nut so it doesn't vibrate loose it must be fairly important. I generally try to leave bolts in their holes when dismantling to avoid this type of screw up. On coming to refit the panels I had the shorter 15mm nut and bolt in the beak front mounting holes, but the 15mm bolt seems too short for this location, in which case the nut might go with the 25mm bolt (but where?).
If anyone could take a look and see if they've a nut/washer holding the beak on (under the oil cooler) I'd be grateful.
cheers, Spanner
