Help wiring in an autocom via a fuse block- 2010 RT1200

Hi, I am quite happy doing my own servicing, but when it comes to the electrics I am terrified!
The satnav is quite easy to put in, taking the lead straight from the lead by the headstock. When it comes to fitting the bike to bike radio and autocom, I have a fuse block to install.
I seem to be incapable of understanding the wiring diagram in the Haynes workshop manual, so which wire in the tail area should I use for the power?

CanBus ignition supply - denali lead

assuming we're talking about the FuzeBlock FZ-1 that needs an ignition-live connection as well as connections to the battery [+] and [-] terminals, I recommend this :

it piggybacks into either of the the R12RT's pilot/marker lights and gives a direct ignition-controlled supply for the FuzeBlock. These lights are ignition-controlled so there's no need to cut into or splice anything else .

I felt the same and did not want to splice into the bikes original wiring. I took a long wire from the power lead to the satnav, that way if anything went wrong I was only buying a new sat nav power lead.

I just connected direct off the battery with an inline fuse holder from halfords worked perfect for years

In the end, I took the switched power from the rear accessory socket. It goes dead approx 15 secs after the ignition is turned off. The Fuzeblock switchable fuse panel from Nippy Normans was easy to fit, especially as I bought the wiring harness to go with it, and my Garmin and bike to bike radio are all powered off it as well as the intercom.

trying not to make another thread with the same topic so here goes if this gets noticed

I have on my GSA1200 the wiring adaptor on the under seat 12v socket that allows me to power my autocom without breaking into the wiring or installing a relay, my dad just got himself an RT and needs his autocom set up again now too

Using the treads on here i can see the 12v socket under the pillions seats but instead of breaking into the switched live and installing a relay etc is there a wiring adaptor that can be got for it also like my GSA?

for the life of me i cant remember where i sourced my lead from

Phone your BMW dealer and order the lead that feeds the front accessory socket. It plugs into the back of the socket on the left hand side under the seat. That's what I did and my bike is a GSA not sure about an RT.

Yes thats what i have done with my GSA as well, i was just wondering if it was the same case for the RT

Never having had an RT I don't know, but the plugs will be the same I would have thought. An expensive way to do it, but I didn't want to hack into my bikes wiring loom.

Ok so I remembered there was a thread on here about switched power the easy way and it has the part number for the splitter cable I was looking so thanks to Wapping all those years ago!
