help with 2610 simulation

Hi all after loading a route the 2610 asks me if i would like to simulate the route
if i reply yes it simulates the route in real time :( this can take forever is there any way to speed it up cheers

Can't think why you'd want to simulate it anyway.. I've got the 2610 and I would assume that function is only for demo purposes or something....

Wouldn't bother if i were you! ;)

Have you tried changing the speed in edit - preferences - routing? It'll mess up all the time calculations unless you change them back in mapsource and reload the maps again.

Thanks all, thought this might be a usefull function when plotting a route directly to the 2610 not using mapsource, just to check that my preferences were ok. thanks John will give that a try :thumb
 
Rather than simulating driving the route, do you not have an option to show the entire route on the map? On the Quest, this is one of the route options and it draws a scaled map with the route highlighted as a purple line. You can zoom in and pan around to look in more detail at the diffent sections of the route.
