Long shot, maybe. Jan has bought a 3d printer to make loads of stuff for her dolls house. Her latest is a kitchen which has printed perfectly except for one door. I've used an online editor to try and sort it and it would seem that the door doesn't sit flat on the bed. It appears to be angled upwards at one end. I did spend some time on it yesterday but can't work out how to repair the file.

Is there anyone with any experience in these files who can help please? I did try to attach the file to this post but it is unsupported.

TIA

Sye,

You don’t say what kind of printer, resin or hot string, not where the STL files came from.

Are your STL files home made and are you doing the supports yourself, or are they bought pre-supported?

I’m assuming you’re using Cura (hot string) or Chitubox (resin) as your print manager, but both have a “reset” function which will remove any supports and put the object on the build plate (or a preset distance above it)

Try putting just the faulty part on the build plate, and re-supporting it. If it’s a resin part, try flipping it upright, so it is supported along a long edge, this might help it print flat.

Thanks for the reply. Jan's printer is an Anker M5C 3D Printer using PLA filament. The .stl file was bought by Jan online and the rest of the parts have printed perfectly.

I wasn't aware that the print manager has a reset function, so I will look into that, thanks.

Thanks @SBD (y) I found the lay flat icon and applied it and the door has printed perfectly. Learn something new every day, thanks again.
