Just returned from Garmish, via Baden Baden and B500. Took in Neuschwanstein Castle near garmish. Travelled along B50 and on to Luxemburg ... anyone else noticed that fuel is 20 euro cents cheaper than anywhere else in Europe? Mosel Valley and Cochem then Vaals to see Drielendenpunt and get lost in Europes largest maze. So nice, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
From Heidelburg, the road following the Neckar river east is fast and scenic. After that the Scwarbisch Alb area toward Nordlingen (nice little walled town) and eastwards was also quite nice.
Through Belgium staying close to Liege then- heading for cologne, following the Rhine, koblenz, Mainz, and staying at Mannheim, but then heading for Baden Baden -picking up B500 and the black forest region.
I can not recomend it yet as I have not been before, but I know it will be good as it's what you make it is it not
