Help with Garmin problem currently in northwest spain

Morning folks, bit of a long shot but here goes. We are in Ribadeo currently moving onto Santiago de campostella for two days. The power mount for my garmin zumo 550 has died meaning. The gps is only running on battery power consequently the gps only lasts a couple of hours.
Can anyone who has local knowledge of where I can buy one or a spare help out? It's the part the wire goes into that cradles the gps unit I need.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately Santiago didn't work out that well - two of the outlets had closed down and we couldn't find the rest.....

If you remove the bottom door from the unit, and power it from a USB/Mini USB cable - fed in turn from a power bank? Charge up the powerbank and Zumo overnight and run with it during the day?

In dry weather it shouldn't be a problem?

Will that actually work, I'm asking as when you put the zumo on charge via the USB it goes into data transfer mode i.e it's useless as a gps. Could some one try if it will work as a gps powered from an external pack via a USB cable. If that's the case it would be much easier to get a battery pack than a new mount. Many thanks for the help guy it's much appreciated.

How long are you away for?

Find a secondhand cradle on eBay (Spanish might be best, I guess) buy it and ask the vendor to express post it to a hotel / campsite.

Failing that, go old school. Paper, pencil and map.

The micro sub on the cradle will power up the 550, it's a 90degree micro usb to standard usb these adaptors to fit your power sockets are available at all motorway services for the truckers
