Help with Sage Accounting!?!

Just got an email from a friend - Sage Software is not my bag - Any ideas!?!?

We have just discovered that when our accounts year was started last year, the start date was incorrectly entered as April 2006, rather than April 2005. We have been posting everything with correct dates for 2005/06 so I want to change the start year back. I've checked the help files on the system and it only really refers to starting a new year, rather than changing an incorrect one. Do you think if I just edit the year all our posted transactions will be ok?

Be really careful with Sage Stig, It can be non forgiving to say the least. Presumably your copy is registered and legal so why dont you give Sage a call.

I suspect that, so long as no year end has ever been run, you will not have a problem. However see PM about to wing its way over.
