Hi there.
I busted my leg paragliding about 8 weeks ago, have had an op to secure the fractured tibia with a really big chunk of stainless steel.

They secured this into the bone by drilling and holding it in place with four stainless steel screws.

The thing is, it appears that the screws are starting to back out. Can anyone recommend a good threadlock for holding stainless to bone?

On a serious note - I'm almost at the point of being able to ride my GS again!

Cheers,
JD.

Hi, When will you be back paragliding a mate and I fancy a go! When I had pins in my wrist they started to come out and one of them broke through the skin then I had them removed. Nice.

Noel,
If you want to try paragliding, go have a look at the BHPA (British Hang-gliding & Paragliding Assoc) website: http://www.bhpa.co.uk/ There you can find a list of schools in your area where you can participate in a "taster-day" and actually go flying.

I highly recomend it - I've been flying for many years and this is the first incident I've had - a very light but awkward landing.

It worries me slightly that so many people report that NHS screws and pins etc all seem to want to work their way out.

Can't wait to get back on the GS - that's been the hardest part of all this - not riding.

Cheers,
JD.
