Help with TT HID LIght Fitting please

Anyone wired up a Touratech HID Light to their 1200? If so, where did you put the ballast on the bike? Also can anyone tell me me where I can buy a waterproof switch to mount on the handlebars like the pic below?

Can't help directly, but have an idea.

Are you going to use the HID lights as driving lights? If so, you could use a relay driven by the main beam circuit instead of a seperate switch. One less thing to fumble for when trying to dip your lights in a hurry.

Thanks Mouse - the kit comes ready to wire into the main beam circuit, I would prefer to have separate control...

I take it that you know that the US TT site has instructions and clear colour pics for fitting instructions?

I had a friend fit my TT fogs - took about 3 hours and he is a serious tech head too!

I've seen a picture somewhere of an installation and the guy had put the ballast below the pillion seat in the bit where you can put the u-lock.
