help!!! xp-vista

switched on my old compac today running xp and noticed the font size is bigger.
how do i make the font size bigger on my sony running vista.
i can read the writing on screen so much easier on my compac[xp].
if anybody can elp that would grrrreat.
in baby language please as i ent clever with IT things and i only use my lefthand on key board.
