Helstons Ace Vintage Jacket - Large

This jacket is basically new, I doubt it's been worn more than a handful of times. The size is Large and their size guide says 40"-42" chest size which I'd say is accurate as it fits me well and I'm a 42" chest. If you don't know Helstons, they are a French brand and their jackets are terrific quality. I've had their Hunt leather jacket for over 10 years now and nothing has ever failed, and it still comes up like new when I can be bothered to give it a clean. It's the reason I bought the Ace, but I still reach for my older jacket when I go out, so this has hardly been worn and is just sat in the wardrobe.

It comes with full back, shoulder and elbow armour and a removable thermal liner and has a reassuring weight and quality feel about it. Full details can be found on the Moto Legends site along with a video review - https://www.motolegends.com/helstons-ace-vintage-jacket-brown

Looks amazing, I have enough jackets, but that could tempt me :)

Can take few measurements please. Chart showing 40/42?
Shoulder
Pit to pit
Back length
Arm pit to cuff.
Interesting spec:
"The jacket comes fitted with CE armour in the shoulders and elbows, as well as in the back. It comes with a fixed waterproof membrane, although in truth this is in the jacket less for waterproofing and more for windproofing. You also get a removable, aluminium-lined, thermal jacket."

Thanks for asking, I forgot to do those. :blast

If I didn’t think the wife would kill me for getting ANOTHER jacket, I’d have it!
Have a bump and GLWS

My wife did raise her eyebrows when I bought it and asked if I really needed another jacket, but I tell her that she has a lot of shoes, but only two feet. :DD

Yep definitely a Large, and minimum 6' tall going by the length. Nice jacket, and leather.

I'm 5'10" and 13 st and the jacket is a really good fit on me. The length is cut longer at the back.
The front zip length (excluding collar) is 22"

I see that makes sense, to cover your back when leaning forward.

My BMW leather jacket, my Rukka and my BMW Airflow are all the same length with no issues and I am 5ft 8.

Yes but I like to look good, so 24" at the back is for me just right. 28" at the back is the the length of my Trialmaster. If that make sense.

Bear in mind that 2" of the 28" is the collar, so the actual jacket length at the rear is closer to 26".
