wouldnt bother with the upper bars they are total shite.... badly designed mounting to the upper frame using U bolts with hardly any access - and when there is an impact, the beak/oil cooler support frame will take the force and thus write off the support frame.
the U bolts are millimeters away from the oil cooler lines and the lines can chaff.
the lower mountings are cheap large grain cast aluminium and crack easily.
the bars are not equailly spaced so there is a large gap on the RH side and nearly no gap on the LH side when compared to the tank panels.
you can not remove the tank panels if u have to change the FPC.
I do see your point as it is a pain in the arse to get the side panels off and the top u bolts are also a pain , but i keep dropping the twatting thing in my garden of all places and the top bars have always saved it
