I've put the HB bars but there was a small problem regarding the holes that the right hand part and the centre one,was not alligment!. We had to extend the hole that was there so,these could be fitted correct.
The problem now is that with heavy rain i have seen α little rust there.. What are my solutions??

Demand a new set ?

Do anything else ??

It's steel - if you drilled out the hole and didn't re-paint or in some other way treat the bare metal, it's going to rust.

The initial poor fit would have been something you could've returned the bars for - I hardly think your adaptation and subsequent corrosion is going to be a problem that H&B are going to have much sympathy with - good luck though...

bad news i guest.. wil speak tommorow with the dealer that fitted them to me (i did not make the wholes) He assured me that i was not going to have any problem ..
So maybe there is a solution... not my fault..

Sorry, your original post referred to 'we' extending the holes, inferring that you did the work yourself - you are quite right, the dealer who fitted them should put this right...

Mike:)

You said 'we had to extend the holes'

So I guess it depends if the dealer feels he had your authorisation to go ahead and drill the holes.

As Mike O says though - if you knew the holes were being drilled you may have some responsibility to have rustproofed the bare metal that was left.

Depends how much you want to keep in with your dealer/mechanic.

Just take em apart, get some anti rust stuff splashed all around and repaint.

Cant see how HB are responsible for your current problem.

should have given them back to them when they tried to fit them .

Anyway,i will "play the hard guy" to the dealer,so he is responsible for this.

He recommended to to the holes, but with the certainty that it would not cause any trouble ..

mine had the same problem. the horizontal hole on one side did not line up properly.. extending the hole and then spray paint that area to keep rust away..

rather than removing the H-B bars, just remove the affected screw area, with some fine steel wool, sand the rust spot, put some masking tape and newspapers to cover the rest of the area, and just spray paint that spot..

seems like a good idea..maybe i'll do this..

Spray color i need..it willnot be that hard i gues..

First i will tkae it to the dealer to see what he will tell me
