hepco becker panniers fitment

Hi

My question is regarding the fitment of hepco becker panniers and racks to an 1150gs. I've been told that I'll have to relocate the rear indicators so they dont foul the panniers.

is this true?

To me it appears the rear indicators on the bike are very close together and measure 34cms across from the outside edge of the left indicator to the outside edge of the right indicator.

I have looked at photos of the panniers and racks fitted to an 1150gs on the hepco and becker site and to me it appears that there is 'room' for the indicators to remain where they are at present. The picture does show the indicators mounted further up on the bike from their original location.

Has anyone got these panniers and racks on their 1150gs? If so could I be advised as to what to do.

When I got my 1100gs (same rear end as 1150) it had H&B pannier rails on it and the indicators were in original locations.
I have since replaced them with Givi rails purely because I already had the panniers which I use on my other bikes also. You do need to move them with the Givi panniers.

H&B pannier frames come with indicator relocating lugs.

They do indeed and wire extentions to relocate.... i fitted mine over Christmas...see my other post further down ref the fitment of these... i have posted some piccies there too...

As others have stated the H&B rails come with new mounting points and I used these. You could, however, replace the rear indicator stems with the ones from the front of the bike as these are shorter.

Gents, could anyone please post a photo of fitted racks?
I picked up my panniers today and they look awesome. But the racks don't seem to fit my GS. They were previously on 1150GS Adventure but according to the seller they fit standard GS too. Some pics will be much appreciated.

Only nearside?

They don't match perfectly but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Indicators will have to be replaced though
