Anyone have a good spot for a July/August Fish Dash.

Been months since last one

What I learned is no one likes West Kerry as too far for for the Starbucks riders.

I stopped at "The Monks at the Pier" on way home from Leenaun and was a cracking spot for fish

Great fish n chips in Scannels in Clonakilty. Best I've had yet.

Make it a Kebab, toasty or burger dash......and have it smack bang in the middle of the country somewhere.......that way, everyone has a fairly similar distance to travel.


Nothing against the Fishy's......it just generally means it's a coastal destination.

Bowes Cafe in Durrow is a lovely Cafe and just few mins from Abbeyleix

@David Morton organised a decent wee run out one time in the past there

Breakfast / Brunch near Keady and then out along/about the Cooleys and after that I can't remember

In fact the Cooleys may have been a wee chowder dash which ended up at Carlingford

Great biking roads in that region.

Drove up through "The Swan" on Friday.....on our adventure over to Leenane on Friday.

I have been on the road several times in the car and always thought it would be a great road for the bike.
I wasn't wrong!

Yes its a lovely route and roads back through Stradbally and Athy are real nice
