Last nights little trip was fun. Pathalogical, PhysioJo, Speggo, Essexboy, Greg Masters (who wasn't supposed to be there but was) and myself went on a little jaunt through some of the fords on the Essex/Hertfordshire border, all of which were wet and some were quite deep....:eek

Anyway, I've finally got around to doing a youtube thingie, so without further ado here are the vids!

Pathalogical on an easy one:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/V1tov5rG1ls&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/V1tov5rG1ls&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Greg discovering that DRZs are not, in fact, submarines after all:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dwSBjY6V01g&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dwSBjY6V01g&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Pathalogical:

Essexboy - good fording, then Tourances + mud = almost!

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dBU-xJJ9GVw&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dBU-xJJ9GVw&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

And finally PhysioJo letting her bike have a little rest. Bless!

Great videos dave

I must learn to keep my big mouth shut.! It was lots of fun and quite scary. I am just glad you didn't film the first ford where we did the Long Way Round reenactment with me getting water into the engine:blast Thanks for those who sorted it out for me. Still no harm done.

My boots are still drying in the sun. Hopefully we can join Captain tomorrow.

Best wishes,

Path.

Apparently you're supposed to 'walk' a ford before attempting it. That minor detail was a bit lacking last night... :D

We hadn't got time for all those niceties!!

The waters were quite deep last night. The Standon Ford (where I drowned the DR-Z - twice!!) came up over the engine and drowned the HT. But it started on the button both times afterwards.

:D

And just to prove that Greg didn't just push his bike into the water and out again, here it is when it was working...

Well most of you did 'The wet way round'..........I'm with Pathologic.......The best way over....:thumb

That was the only ford (out of 5 or 6) that we skipped - after Greg did his submarine impression, and we all took the alternative route, not just Pathalogical. :thumb

And to finish, a gratuitous "muddy bike" shot of my bike. :)
