Something for nothing read on.

Not long ago the Herts Fire Bike team ran their first Biker Down session. This was just a trial to see how they got on and iron out the wrinkles.

They are now looking at getting it up and running properly. Its a three hour event. It covers a bit about accident scene management, being seen and first aid. Whilst not a substitute for more in depth training, its worth going.

The price is free :thumb2

So if you live near a Herts fire station.

If you would like to do the Biker Down course please email [email protected] with the following details:
Full Name
Email address
Mobile Number
Your nearest Fire Station

They do have a facebook page for more info.

Other fire brigades do run similar events if you are not in Herts.

Excellent! I recently attended a bikers' first aid course arranged by Norfolk Advanced Motorcyclists; very informative and useful, just in case.

I did the Kent Fire Service course a while back and can highly recommend it. And they gave out a free first aid kit for my top box :)

Great initiative!

I would sign up, but I'm a bit busy training for the Boris 100 and then off to the Slovakia Ring ....

;)

I did this a few weeks ago with the Herts guys at Stevenage. Very, very worthwhile, got loads out of it so would thoroughly recommend everyone doing one of these.
