Evening all.....First post to the forum for me.

I wanted to share that I fitted the HEX ezCAN yesterday and I am very impressed with the results so far. I went with the default config.

Channels 1 & 2 = Front LEDS - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KLC82B6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Channel 3 = Rear LED break lights, These are stuck to the back box. - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LEQ8JO8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Channel 4 = Innovv K1 Camera system - http://www.innovv.com/the-k

Sadly the Innovv K1 isn't working (yet) because the max output is 4amp and the system needs 5amp. I feel this can be fixed with a software update so I email the Hex team to enquire if this is something they will consider in the next firmware release. I'll update the group when I find out more.

I also used these connectors to ensure lights can be upgraded without have to pull the bike apart. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DVQ2ANO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If anyone is interested I can take a few snaps and post them.

Cheers all.

Not being rude, but what's the point in it?

It comes across to me, like GS/GSA riders are going all MOD like with their Vespa/Lambretta scooters, all those flags, mirrors, lights etc. Fair enough upgrading screens, mudslinger and so forth, but what is wrong with superb LED lights the bike does come with?

It's far from superb. Dim and tucked away more like or maybe the fear of being rear ended at night again springs to mind.........

As for the Hex exCAN, I would say the biggest benefit is that you don't need to to tap or cut and wiring "if" you are fitting accessories. If you aren't, then you don't need one.

Myself on the other hand prefer to run with cameras rolling (not that they are currently) as I am on the road everyday. Sure the other stuff is novelty but I like that crap. :) . Maybe a flag is needed next....... :)

Welcome to the forum :thumb2 and i would be interested in seeing where you have installed Hex unit, from a former mod and scooter rider:D

I've been a scooter rider for 9 years and owned a Vespa GTS 125 Super for 23 months, apart from few bits like fly screen and Akrapovic end can, I didn't go with flags and mirrors like I see quite often :blast,

I run a Drift Ghost S camera of a small power bank that makes camera run continuously for 9-10 hours. Ideal solution on tour. Power bank lives inside a jacket pocket and slim USB cable up to camera. If I want camera on the front of the bike, I plug USB cable into din socket that is already on the bike.

A flag and a squirrel tail is a must though :D

Just change the channel amperage. I have a ezcan and K1 and set the channel to 7.5 amps.

You just click on the value to change it.

For pics see Fred's post at #10 above plus links to other interesting bits for the Ezcan. As for UK sales no there isn't yet as it requires some kind of certification for sale in Europe. There are places to order from abroad though. I would suggest contacting Ice-tags who posts on here. He has been very helpful and I'm sure he could sort you out.

BTW welcome to the forum. :beerjug:

I've had mine on the bike for a while now... lights to one connection, FIAMM twin horns to other and rear lights. The point of the lights, for me, is that they act as a great warning to drivers et al.

The strobing effect with the horn/flash to pass and the alternate flashing with the hazards are excellent and I can certainly testify to the fact that drivers are more aware of your presence. As for the rear lights flashing 3 times and then staying on when braking / rolling off throttle certainly wakes, those that are following you, up.

IMHO, money well spent. For those that are interested, this is a short vlog I did some time ago. https://youtu.be/yVIXikwS9N0

Mine arrived in the post yesterday as did a puig touring screen. Just need to make some time to fit them now! Being seen is the main reason for me too.

So it looks like you have a different config in which you are using the higher power outputs for Horn and Accessory. I need brakes to be in the config so your setup won't work for me.

It's almost like I need the first config option in reverse. Accessory | Brakes |Front LED | Front LED . Thoughts?

Also, any idea if the "off turn when signal active" feature works if you use the config where both LEDs are on the same channel. I expect so....

Those are the defaults and you can set each channel amperage separately. It's more about the functionality i.e. lights and the wonderwheel for "lights" setting.

I doubt you can have the off turn when signal active will work for lights on the same channel. HEX would know though but if its a single lead supplying power I dont see how it can control two lights differently.
