HEX ezCAN fitted today

Those are the defaults and you can set each channel amperage separately. It's more about the functionality i.e. lights and the wonderwheel for "lights" setting.

I doubt you can have the off turn when signal active will work for lights on the same channel. HEX would know though but if its a single lead supplying power I dont see how it can control two lights differently.

Just got off the phone with Hex. They have confirmed that the amps can not be increased on the low power outputs BUT they can provide a new layout.

If anyone would also like this layout please support the request by sending an email to [email protected] and quote Ticket ID: 15343895

The new layout I have asked for is as follows

Channel 1 (high power) - Accessory
Channel 2 (high power) - Brake Lights
Channel 3 - Front LED
Channel 4 - Front LED

Just for FYI, i ran both lights to a single high output connection and the horn to the other and I can confirm that the lights DO alternate when the hazards are on and go off when the indicators are on. Hope this helps.

Can just the side where the indicator is active work with this setup. I notice on your video that both auxiliary lights go off when your indicator is on. Was this by choice?

No, this is how it is set up to work as standard with no other option (that i know of). I would assume it is done this way so that the eye is not distracted by the brighter AUX light on the opposite side so 'on-lookers' can only see the indicator... makes sense really.

On post #19, my set up is the bottom one. So i have the auxillary still free and the 'brake light' function working to some AUX LED's on the top case.

Ah ok I've seen it before done that that only the auxiliary light on the side of the indicator that is active turns off.

I see the MF has done it that way. I wonder is that a by product of you running the auxiliary into the same input??

Didn't think of that.... you could well be right.

I think it is. I prefer this set up as though, I think attention should be on the indicator. I'm going to use some of those indicating brake lights on the the panniers and topbox as well (plus additional front DRL spots and a Denali horn)

Just looked on the HEXEZCAN site. If you watch the 'Mark on a bike' video (at about 2:30) you see his indicator flashing alternate to the AUX light but the opposite AUX light stays on. So, I'm guessing that by using both the main connectors (one for each AUX light) changes the internal settings some how.

As I said earlier though, I much prefer the way mine works.

It is possible to have a single LED switch off when indicating and how I have mine setup. You need to use the first config option which means each LED is on an independent channel.

Hope that helps.

It does indeed. Thanks for the help.

Can somebody help regarding extra brake lights. I bought some set of led strip light to stick on topbox. They work great but only turn on when brake is engaged. I know you can buy ones that are running lights, brake lights and indicators. Just wondering if these can be wired up. This is what I was looking to get. Can the indicators be blanked off and the running and break lights be spliced together on 2 sets and ran into the ezcan?
