I bought a Hex ezCAN II from Nippy's yesterday and having read through the user guide, and watched the install video's, I think I'm a little in data overload right now, so would just like to check with those of you that have installed one of these, that my understanding is right before I go ahead to install on my R1250GS.

So - what I'm looking to install is a set of the Wunderlich Spots (2-wire spots), my INNOVV K3 and my Wunderlich heated seat by connecting them to the exCAN. The configuration of the ezCAN I understand, its the wiring I just need assurance on.

Both the Wunderlich spots and the Wunderlich heated seat came with a switch and relay as standard. Am I right in assuming that I don't bother with either the switch or the relay and just connect the spots and the heated seat directly to the ezCan?

Regards the INNOVV, my understanding is that I connect both the positive and negative (that normally go to the battery) as well as the ignition triggered positive to the ezCAN directly as well (the ignition triggered wire going to the PWM/data control wire on the stub connector).

Apologies if the above sounds dumb to those in "the know" but I thought better to check before I install. Thanks for your help.

So I have the Cansmart which is the same thing. I had issues with the K3 switched live to the Cansmart. Set up as per on the aux circuit, but the switched live was intermittent, not sure if this was to do with the earth coming from the Cansmart and not earthed to the chassis or battery. Also worth noting that you need to delay the loss of power to the aux circuit so the camera can shut down. Also if you want to use the park function on the Innov, it won't work if you connect to the Hex Ez, as the Innov needs continuous power from a source.

So in the end, I took the pos and neg supply from the same wires that supplied my Cansmart and used a bike switched live for the yellow. No issues since I changed the way I run the Innov and because it is working fine, I haven't bothered trying again with the Cansmart.

As per the other connections, you don't need any switches or relays, just connect to the Hex. My Cansmart can run heated gear and control from the wonder wheel, so assume that would work for your seat, although can't you just connect the seat to the bike harness

Thanks @casbar. Yes I did wonder about the K3, presently it's wired in across the battery with switched live take-off from the fuse - given your experience, maybe I might just leave as that, also I do use the park function occasionally.

Re other connections, thanks for the confirmation. Re the seat, my GS never had the option for a heated seat, so there are no connections into the bike harness.
