Hey BMW - You lost another sale...

I have some new pillion footpeg lowering brackets from a guy in Germany I think that makes them. My wife didn't need them so if anyone is interested let me know.

Similar to Andres ones above, same job.

Hey Andres,
Where can I get hold of these nowadays? I’ve done a very Quick Google search and nothing came back, other than some ADV RIDER forum chat....

Yeah Andres .... where did you get those from .... ??!!

Yeah, you may be right and yes they moved the pegs out a bit but only by 6 or 7mm.

It's hard to describe but the reason they made such a difference to comfort was not to give more leg room and less knee bend. With them lower and more forward it pitched her back slightly which meant the weight distribution on her arse was changed quite significantly. It also had the added benefit of allowing her to brace herself with her legs more so there was less pitching forward/backward in stop/start traffic and she generally felt more secure :)

which page of the karma sutra did you get that from?:D

Giles the Tuono is such a great road-bike...You must be kidding. The Tuono is just as useless on the road as any superbike without factory hard luggage or centerstand but not as good on the track as a superbike.

:jes:jes:jes

Funniest shit ever...it is clear you must be 12 and you paid the subs with your mums card....:comfort

Yeah, I had a quick look too, nothing other than the Advrider stuff and I can't for the life of me remember who made them. Anybody with a CNC rig could knock some up for you though :thumb2

From your fecking contact :P You tell EVskij where to get them from :D

Mmmmm, I did wonder who'd be the first to comment whilst I was typing my OP :D

Hey Andres,

Here. You can PM Martyred on ADVrider. He is based in Germany.

He has to be a wind up merchant ?!

Everything he writes is so technically incorrect that you would only write that if you were on a wind up. If you knew your bikes, (and were being genuine) you wouldn't write the shite he does!

I concur, by the sounds of things he's had that fishing rod out a long time...he probably rides a honda cub 90(Still a great bike to fuck about on by the way) and he probably takes great pride in us lot telling hmi he's a big tossorrrr!!!

Giles why don't you come down in January and we ride the Baja and I show you how useless your Tuono as a road-bike really is...:thumby: I rather have a washing machine because at least it is useful while the Tuono is useless on road and track...:D Too upright and too slow for the track...Too useless without bags/centerstand on the road. And on top of that is has a bicycle chain and a crappy fork that only works half as good as Telelever....But it has soul. Why ? Because with a V-4 it sounds only half as good as a V-8 or as good as a crappy Ford 17M that also had a V-4...;)
And no the R1250RS is no modern R1100S...No Tele-Lever,not enough ground clearance, too heavy, not enough power for 2021 and not as good looking as the R1100S ! The R1300S should look like a S1000RR with Telelever and sexy underseat exhaust and have 160-170 hp with a fat midrange-torque curve and not be heavier than 220 kilos wet...That would be awesome and something to get exited about :thumby: A true SPORTS-tourer...Kind of a Ducati 950 Supersport or Aprilia RS660...But much better !!! A sportbike for the street as todays superbikes are only for the track...AS extreme as they have become.Best or worst example is the new Fireblade with clip-ons lower than the seat and a mid-range weaker than a CBR600...:(
And yes BMW employs great engineers but the guys in product planning don't have a clue want BMW riders really want besides obviously great products that sell in big numbers like 1250GS,RT and S1000RR,XR.
A XR version of the GS and a new S boxer replacing the R/RS and for sure no CMW F750/850/900 with taiwanese engines or Harley boat anchors with cylinders in the air instead of cooking the riders nuts...I wonder who came up with these great ideas that wasted time & money better used on better ideas and more attractive products that actually sell !

Boxerlust. I think you’ll find that most BMW owners would like a bike with better quality before worrying about other things.

Had no problems with my new bike , best one i have had to be fair . More power would be nice as an option say when buying a new one ( ie on the configurator) as for wheel choices also .
Its a free world so more choice is always better , the safe option or perhaps the devil side ..:green gri:green gri:thumb

How old is it and how many miles has it done ?

Were you born bombastic and obnoxious or did you develop these unpleasant traits later in life?

My general approach when deciding on suitability or competence of a new bike: read and understand Giles' comments and opinions carefully.

Then do exactly the opposite.

I agree with Boxerlust's sentiments: we ride bikes to go fast, get the rush from the best power to weight ratios we can. Even if we don't use the top speed (and where can you, away from autobahn of track?), there's all the fun of really quick acceleration. The difference on the open road between 130 and 170 bhp is noticeable everywhere. If KTM or Ducati can get that kind of horsepower from a 1200+ cc twin, why can't BMW?

I'm looking for a new bike now, but I won't be looking at a BMW twin. If I want "adequate" power, I might as well buy a boring Honda 750. I want to use full power, as often as possible, to get the juices flowing. Otherwise I'll take the car.

No .. he's right!

A good road bike must have a centre stand and panniers otherwise its just utterly shite!

I am suuuuuch an idiot ..... :blast :blast
