HG Cruse GTX Daylight jacket

I must be getting old.

I was looking at this jacket in the shop.
Never been one for high vis stuff but the other day I put some supplementary spots on the bike. Im liking the way car drivers notice me.
Put this on and Im thinking more still will notice me.

But has anyone got one and if so is it any good. In the only reviews Iv found one was for and one against. The against was because the black rubbed of on the high vis and left permanent marks.

Had the HG Daylite jacket for a couple of years.

Good jacket and waterproof, with the storm collar etc.

I found it great.

They do get dirty though, with the muck off the road and I couldn't get all the muck off mine again.

I'm thinking about getting another for the darker and more miserable nights etc. I was going to say wetter but can it be wetter?

I have one of the flourescent HG jackets - great, warm, waterproof, comfortable ...etc.

The main thing is everyone sees you from miles away ... god for the dopey drivers on dark winter days and nights ! Don't look cool, but haven't been in too many scrapes yet.

I have one too, one winter and it ain't dayglo anymore, and I don' believe in washing a waterproof jacket...

Would I buy one again, as a jacket yes its done over 50k miles and is still waterproof unlike all the guys who did the advanced training weekend down here in July, including an aerostich....

But I'd probably go for the same jacket in a dark colour and wear a dayglo vest over the top.... easy to wash...

Same issues with mine. They get grubby quite quickly but even after a couple of winters use they still get you noticed. I used mine whilst wearing a white System 4 and riding my old white R1100RS

correct me if i'm wrong ,, but didnt you have a HG dayglo on at eskdalemuir the other week ???

just nick the incident commanders tabbard or the entry control officers off the pump ,, that'll get you noticed
