HG kit V's BMW which is better??

Pretty much as the tittle says really? I have experiance of HG kit and am pretty happy with it, but the BMW stuff seems pretty well priced too so which is best???

I am looking to buy a textile jacket and pants that are waterproof and can be worn all year round, removable linnings for winter are a plus point.

Any comments or advice??

BMW Twat suit gets the from me. I've had a number of HG textile suits over the years and now use the BMW suit all year round. It has a removable fleece lined gore tex liner which keeps the water out and heat in. Some on here will say it's not warm enough in the winter but I find it excellent for all year riding.....

BMW kit is good, especailly if you can buy it at an end of season or dealer sale price. Streetguard suit is a 3 layer goretex and great for all year round use. None of this nonsense of pop in goretex liners as with some other BMW suits. After 40k+ miles my Streetguard suit is still my first choice.

Goretex insist on certain manufacturing standards for those who use their materials. I would generally stay away from Sheltex or other similar waterproof textile / liners as they are simply not as good as Goretex. Any HG kit which has Goretex should also be okay

Never knew that but it makes sense, my current HG stuff is goretex
