MAG Ireland needs your help!

We've just launched a survey to assess the situation regarding the voluntary use of high visibility clothing by Irish riders. It's just 12 multiple choice questions and should take no more than five minutes of your time. By taking part, you will help to shape MAG policy and our discussions with the RSA on this issue. This survey is to show the RSA riders attitudes towards the wearing of Hi-Viz. MAG believes that we wear them in appropiate circumstances. We know the RSA will be conducting their survey soon but that is done by students standing at fixed points. This survey is to show the RSA that we as riders do take care and that the problem is with drivers not with us.

Please tell as many riders as you know about this survey and ask them to fill it in.

can i ask? what are we doing about all the other rules being brought in? hi vis to me is the low end item to be worrying about as there are much more restrictive rules

Done. I'm probably against the trend in that I always wear high-viz so makes no difference to me. Each to their own.

Done. Although I am in the 'for' camp because high vis saved my life after a smash in the dark.

I have several friends who are paramedics - they tell me they find bikers thrown from bikes quicker in the dark if they are wearing high vis. In something where every second counts, to me that is food for thought. Ride safe all
