HID RF Noise suppression

GS 1200 2009
Hi there,
Just been on your site and thinking of installing HIDs ... but have a question for you.
I run a transponder tracker unit (APRS) on 144 - 146 mhz FM Packet. Do you see any problems from the HID generating RF noise at that frequency apart from initial start up of the bulb arc? To be specific the frequency is 144.800 mhz.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,

We have in the past experienced occasional interference however this was mainly due to the location of the hid in relation to the unit. I would suggest trying one and tucking the hid as far away as possible. The x5 has a long ish lead. .
