Would like to get a HID kit for my new F800GS, however i have a few concerns. I have been told that 55w HID's burn the lenses of a F800GS, this true? Also how easy are they to fit and what do you buy in regards to the high beam (standard halogen?).

Thanks Ben

Hi Ben,

We have kits for the F800 with or without anti glare bulbs you can order from here:- http://www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk/product.php?id_product=266 It is possible to get markings on your reflectors with 35 or 55 watt bulbs after a few years of use. We offer a fitting service at our location, but have a look at the fitting instructions on our website :- http://www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk/cms.php?id_cms=7 A free LED T10 side light is included with every 2 kits ordered.

Best Regards :thumb

Order just placed

Thanks Mick.

Question - what about main beam? I don't believe an HID would be right, as even yours take a second or 2 to warm up yes?

What do others do?

Ian:confused:

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the Order, i use an HID on my main, the benefits in my opinion out way the few sec’s it takes for the hid to get to full power. :thumb2

OK thanks. :thumb

So how do HIDs react to being switched on & off frequently - e.g. main beam on a dark road that's fairly busy coming the other way?
