HID Conversion Kits 55 Watt 6000k for 800 GS 1150 GS & A & 1200 GS & A plus RT and GT

I fitted a HID to my dip on my F8GS last week (thanks Richard) using the antiglare bulb. Wow, what a difference, pretty much makes the high beam redundant on the lanes I use on my commute, without blinding oncoming cars.

I will probably upgrade the main beam in due course, but for now I'm more than happy with just the dip.

Many thanks for ordering our kits, glad you like them and if you need anything else just give me a call. :thumb2

More HID Info

Our HID's
We take great pride in knowing that our HID’s are top quality and that they do the job they are supposed to do. Everything from the type of bulbs we use to the waterproof connectors and the inbuilt electronics of the ballast and starter units are designed specifically to work with BMW motorbikes.

The quality of the components that we use to build our HID’s dictate the final price to the consumer. You can get very cheap kits on the market made with very cheap components 9 times out of 10 they won’t work, and if they do they fail soon after fitting.

35 Watt kits are cheaper than 55 watt kits and we only recommend fitting the same power bulb that comes out of the bike from the factory, so with BMW bikes for example they all use 55 watt bulbs and that’s what should be used as a replacement

Had my bike fully converted to HIDS by Mick at Motorbike Adventures and am seriously impressed at the quality of the kits and with the price. They are seriously rugged and water proofed and improve the night riding and bikes visibility no end. However, I always think the true sign of good service is how an issue is handled. I had a problem with one of my aux lights which can only happen the day you are about to start a big 10 day trip. I contacted Mick, and because I didn't have much time for him to diagnose, he swapped the whole unit out for a new one under warranty. We were up and running again in 15 minutes. Great product, great service and an all round good bloke!

Mick,

Just a quick note to say thanks for fitting both the high and low beams to my GS1150 yesterday - the units have transformed riding in the dark, I'm so pleased and happy with the way the ballasts etc are hidden away - v. neat abd tidy! Many thanks!

Hi, I'm looking at your site for info on the correct kit for my F800GS, the Expedition CanBus H7 HIDs 55 Watt 6000K is the right one yes?

Are they a DIY fit, or do they need any pro installation at all?

Cheers

Hi Snappo,
For your dip beam i would go for the X5 Adventure model with an H7R anti glare bulb, its all DIY so no worries with that. Fitting instructions are on our website and apply the same to the 800 even thought we show the 1200. We can fit for 25 per light. You don't need an H7R if your doing the Main beam just an ordinary H7 that comes with the kit is fine. :thumb2

Rich
