HID dipped beam blinding other road users

Hi Guys,

I have a set of HID's fitted onto my 13 GSA and as I've been riding at night more often I've noticed that I'm receiving more warning flashes from oncoming traffic. It's not all cars but I suppose the lower ones.

Through research, I've concluded that the reason is that they are a convertion, headlamp reflectors are designed for bulbs with filaments so the light pattern is scattered "all over the place".

Does anyone have a solution or suggestion for this? would the load switch make a difference? Or the left/Righ adjustment?

I don't get any flashes with mine, 2006 GSA,
Is your bulb fitted properly, your reflector hasn't popped off from the locating balls and cups inside has it? When mine did that it was definitely too high and blinding other road users,
You should be able to adjust it down a bit with the adjuster in the flip switch on the back.

I don't get any trouble Just get it set up properly on a beam tester,it will need to be correct for your 1st MOT anyway

I don't get any flashes either. Have you got the anti-reflective bulb on the dip?

Me too, HIDs on main and dip, no flashes. I find the improvement is greater for main beam than for dip, but even the dip is way better than BMW's pathetic offering. Mate has HID dip and likewise no problems.

My Les Wassall dipped beam HID dip is fine for not dazzling anyone. Main beam however is KINNELL!!! Stunningly good.

You get two types of burners. One of them which is usually more expensive has an R at the end of the name and is for reflector lights. They are usually metal and ceramic instead of plastic. Is this the type you have?
