Wanting to fit a HID conversion to my 04 1150GSA, however....I have read an re read load of threads on here and am confused as to what I need/want to spend. Can someone identify a 'good value' kit - and let me know whether I need H1 or what H no I need ?? I understand the difference between 35w/50w - thinking of a 35w - based on cost.
I've mailed Les Walsall, but no response.
Any advice appreciated
cheers

i sell 35w kits at £35 +£7 delivery.

You need an h1 fitment. You cut your existing bulb holder to fit, only takes 2 seconds.

i would recommend a 6000k bulb, any higher it becomes bluer which is cooler... depending on your opinion... but loses actual lumen output.

Les's kits are 50w and a bit brighter.

Edit: i presumed you wanted the dipped beam converting - thats the h1 fitment.

I forgot to mention, Les is presently on holiday until next week i think? or was it this week... anyways he is away.

There are several people here who sell them. It is H1 you need. I bought a full set (main and dipped beam) from zerocool. Great service and yep they just plug in. Takes about an hour from start to finish (says she who just watched it being done:) )

I don't know what anyone else includes with theirs but I got the lights, wiring, ballasts, and mounting ties too.

I've got my ballasts mounted on a metal bracket underneath the beak.

They really do make an unbelieveable difference when riding at night.

i include the bulb, wiring & ballast, but no tea and biccies... you would have to supply your own during the fitting process :P

I dont mind fitting them free for people if they have them under the beak. If you want them under the tank like i did on mine its a bit more complimicated:D

Hi Vilguy,
Reckon I can fit them myself ok. I'll take a set.
How do we do the payment ?
Pm me details and I'll sort ASAP
Cheers

found a 55w one at £83.00 H1 /5000 not suitable for canbus system though - but I think an 04 bike is not canbus ?? BMW dealer did'ny know !!!:blast

id already replied to your email mate, did it not get through? could your work email be blocking my hotmail account?

And any bmw dealer that didnt know that a 1150 didnt have canbus... wouldnt get getting a visit again!
