Right installation guide for the 1200.. i was supposed to do this the other day wasnt it.. sorry. I stayed up till 5 am the other day and it messed me up haha
Heres what is supplied to the H7 customers - i.e 1200 owners
you dont get the extra plastic bulb cover... thats unscrewed from your own bike
Anyway, unscrew the plastic bulb cover.. its best to do this from underneath as its a bit fiddly. More so if you have big hands like me. If you have any enslaved children to do the job for you.. more so the better
In this plastic cover you need to cut out a hole about the size of a 10 pence piece. I used a soldering iron to do it but you can use a drill or sharp knife. Whichever you prefer
You then need to feed the plastic plug of the bulb through the cover and locate the rubber grommet into the hole you just cut.
Unclip your old bulb and locate the new bulb into position, Then plug the wires from the bulb into the wiring connector. Positive to positive. Best to test with a multimeter as i cant remember which colours were which (anyone know?)
Put the plastic cover back over and that bits done.
What you do next on the ballast will vary depending on what you want / are willing to do. The ballast it tiny so can be hidden easily. I would suggest lifting the tank and hiding it under there. We didnt have time to do that on beemer bazs bike as he was due in sheffield pretty quickly. We temporarily hid the ballast above the oil cooler and held it on with cable ties. But i would suggest a neater installation if you have the time to do so.
Final thing to do
Plug together the 4 cables. You cant get them wrong as they are all plugged to fit in the correct socket.
