HID lights - are they illegal?

Hi - I want to see what I can do re my lights too - they seem pretty crap, and I was looking at doing a HID headlight conversion... anyone know anything about whether this is legal in both the UK and around Europe? And if so... does anyone know who can do the conversion?

Yes they are supposed to be installed with a self levelling device!

Don't worry about it.
I did my F650 Dakar about 3 or 4 years ago and I've not had any bother, not even at MoT time.

I think you'll find that the self-levelling device is only required to be fitted to 4wheelers. There was a very thorough discussion in one thread on here concerning just this subject.
