HID on a 640 Adventure

Has anyone tried a HID kit on the LC4 Adventure? I was wondering if it was possible to split a set between the 640 and 990 ADventures but I have not checked the lamp types yet....

Very true but as I bitched so much about not having a KTM section here I thought I had better use it

I have the 640 so would also be interested in this one but may go spots or Auxs instead as i have the HB bars to take the mounts etc.

My wife tracked down a dealer who sells HID's for just under 90 quid a pair (I have a pair of H1's coming for GSA) however the 640 is H3 and I was hoping the 990S is the same so I can buy one set for both bikes, However if the big one is different I will have a set to split.

I am now being told that different 640's run different lamps and could be H1 or H3 so I will check at the weekend and see what I have and if I can fit a HID ballast etc.

Mine is a 2002 model

Checked today and mine is a H1 and fitting is going to take under 60 minutes based on me doing my GSA yesterday. So I am off to find another cheapie HID - they seem to be coming down in price by the minute.
