Does any know if the HID kits for 1150GSA on EBAY are any good..????

regards RB

I bought from these guys for my 02 1150GS:

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/sinomedia

AKA VMI

They shipped as advertised and they have worked just fine. Others have also reported very few problems. The balasts are not very small (no issue for me, plenty of room under the beak) and their customer is not very good as reported by others, but the price is right. Soooo you takes your chances. Fifty some dollars for a set or two or three as much from your local guy but with customer service if you need it. Whatever suits you.

I got my set of H4 Hi Lo ones from a UK seller a long while ago, no issues to report.

I fitted several kits to my bikes, and also converted friends bikes and cars.

i've tried the cheap kits, and to be honest i wouldn't bother again. I'd rather pay the extra and know that there is genuine back up if a part fails, as has happened with some of the ebay and self imported kits i've used.

Speak to Les (Les wassal) or denis (zerocool) on here, i've had dealings with them both, and they are top blokes to deal with.

Buy cheap buy twice....

I have an HID on the dipped beam which I got from Les Wassall and a cheaper one I bought off ebay for the main beam - Les's was twice the price but the ballast is half the size and is clealry much better quality, no lag at all on lighting up which I get with the cheaper one (which came as a set of two - one failed after 9 months).

Not bought any from ebay. I bought mine from zerocool here on the forum. Take less than an hour to fit and they just plug straight in.

There are several members of the forum who sell them. They may be a little more expensive, but you are getting a product designed to fit your bike, easily fitted and you know they will work.

My other half bought a set off ebay for his Africa Twin and ended up taking them out 'cos they never worked properly. Turned out they weren't correct for bikes at all.
