The battery is always connected up to an Optimate but I have noticed the problem so far has only occured when starting the bike on no throttle. From cold my bike doesn't like having the throttle used on start up. If the engines warm and I blip the throttle on start up (which will kick in the alternator) I have not had the issue so you maybe right on the current draw. I do wish there was a traditional on/off switch for the headlight tho!

How old is the battery? depends on it's life so far, have found that BM batterys only seem to keep there peak for 12 months, after that they still work but do not have the punch that is needed, thats when I go for a Hawker.

Thanks for the fitting on Monday Les and thank your lady wife for the cuppa. :thumb2

I feel like part of the family now having met so many of them. :thumb2

The canbus doesn't switch the bikes headlight on until the bike has started. I think the LAMPF fault is probably due to the HID not being totally compatible with the CANBUS.

Hello Les

I have installed your P&P kit on my R1200 GS ADV 06 and there is something which maybe is normal but before I didn't found this. I keep my bike on original BMW battery loader . From time to time he switch on CAN line and light get start impulse , that some is when you turn key on . Question is if this was also with original lights and how this fact affect for my new bulb?

Regards Marek

HiDs take a charge from the battery on switch on, hence the flash, this is normal for HiD lights :thumb2

Received my kit today, well packed, and to my surprise, there were two xenonbulbs (and ballasts) inside

Never thought I'd have a "set" for this price, I thought I was buying one for the main beam, really very happy now :D:D

Perfect service, I can only recomend doing buissenes with Les ;)

Grtz, Philip!

P.S: Will post pics with the result, and the difference :P

send to wwwhid50.com and it will come to me or the mail address on the signature.

I think that everyone will agree on the name....Les "the chef" of the HID...
Amazing guy:thumb:thumb2...(he did the holes for me as I don't have the tool...without even asking him...)
As for the kit...I can mention only two things...my father was impressed from the quality of the kit:rob...and my brother and the some other mates from the Cretan V-strom club were so impressed that they want to know if you are planning to make a version for other motorcycle also...for V-strom's for example:blast....

Keep the good work Les...I hope I'll see you again...(unfortunately I didn't find the time to install them...:( :tears )

I 've just installed a kit of 50 watts to my 06 GS. The change is incredible!!! This lights make the night day! Thanks Les!!

I have finally got around to putting some pics up of Les's fantastic HiD kit. The difference is night and day as they say. I have now run these through the tail end of winter and into the spring/summer and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Units fitted were the high and low beam plus the fog kit.

Basalt location was not a problem, the main lights went under the beak.

The smaller ballasts for the fogs went behind the side panels and the small box sections behind them. Plenty of wiring meant a nice, neat fit.

The industrial Velcro was used for the job and while I was skeptical at first, it has held on for over 5000 km now through some truly appalling weather and rough roads and seems well up to the job.

Night and day or should I say, night turns into day. Even the auto settings on the camera have trouble!

Great kit, thanks again Les. :thumb2 :thumb2

Strange, I can see them fine using Google Chrome... Must be a picasa link problem.

Now it gets stranger as Firefox doesn't show them neither does IE.... :blast
