I know these guys quite well, they specialise in Leathers, making their own range but also stock and modifying a lot of others including Daytona Boots and the Alpinestars range.

They have a web site http://www.hideout-leather.co.uk and have the largest range of products I have found available on the web.

I would highly recommend visiting their Factory/Showroom, taking the A + B Roads. From the South try going via Little Dunmow to Saffron Walden (B184) and on to Ashdon

Ride Magazine called the B184 "One of the best riding roads in Britain" which has gotta be a good incentive to visit.

I haven't bought anything through the web site yet, although it looks simple enough. Has anyone used them? got any comments?

I first came across Hideout when Peter Hamlett worked in a small shed next to a house in the middle of nowhere.

Since then, he moved to a unit in Royston and now it appears that he's moved again.

I've always found the quality of his work to be top-drawer and good vfm too!

Having worn their gear since I was 16 and as Hideout used to sponsor me by supplying leathers I'm probably slightly biased
I still have a jacket from my yoof which has been down the road many a time, but hardly a mark on it - good ol goatskin!

They do produce good quality product and helped write the book on CE approved armour.
If you go with one of Kate's wackier designs then make sure you are happy with the fit, they can be tight under the arms.

I agree, I have used Hideout for a number of years for alterations and repairs to leathers and always found the quality of their work very good.

Hideout are having a clearance of old stock. This includes some of their own kit as well as Alpinestars and Dainese. They have a two piece VFR suit made to order for someone who changed bikes! This item is reduced from £1200 to £500. Also some old stock suits reduced to £50 and touring jeans from £320 down to £100! Hideout gear is made to high standards and always gets good feedback and reviews. They are having a good clearout so check it out.
