Hello all, its me agaian, thank you for your help with regards to the 850/1150 conversion which I walked away from. Once again im asking for some advice.
On Sunday i'm off to view a 1150 which I have the chance to swap my RSV for. the only thing thats holding me back is the mileage. currently set at 93k and only some history.

From reading, the mileage would not bother me too much but should I check to make sure anything should have been done at that mileage?

If you think it looks a good deal, and you're happy with it, then go for it. Brand new bikes can go bang in a big way the same as old ones, so you pays yer money and takes yer choice.:thumb2

No where near the same mileage as yours. But to me it was a lot at the time. Mine was on 62 K when I got her last year. I haven't looked back since. They are endearing machines. Its now close to 70K.

Mileage

I just got mine with 97k service history, rough round the edges but runs and rides as it should.

You read that these go on and on.

Have a look at if its what you want, go for it.

Reading further into your thread. Mine had no history. I was able to get some History from the original dealer and the rest from DVLA. Certainly enough to put some meat on the bones.

For the first five years it was mollicoddled. Leaving five years with little history. But that left me with five years of unknown rather than 10 years of unknown.

If you like the bike and the price is right - buy it.

Trundle over to Steppers and get it serviced. Then ride it long and hard.

Miles, have'en it

Go for it, if she is sound in body and looks to match jump on it!

I bought mine about 8 weeks ago with 83k, she now has 85k and is sweet as a nut, good luck.

My mates 300K mile 1150 :D Still the original engine, but it had two gearboxes and one final drive in it's (hard) life.

He sadly broke it for spares :( Pictures shows it with a K1 swingarm and final drive.
