Hello people..just bought a 550 mounted it no probs then bought a lead from Intaride to have the voice instructions patched through our intercom system, problem is here, whilst the bike is not running all is fine, start the bike and we have a high pitch noise comming through our head sets, its constant doesnt go up and down when you rev the bike, turn off the bike it stops, any ideas out there..I've rang Intaride they have no idea, at first they thought it was something to do with a Ground loop!! beyond me, my dealer thought it was the alternator, but he says the would go up and down when the motor was rev'd.....

Any ideas.....

Thanks Ullygully.

How have you powered the Intaride/Autocom?

Try moving the earth ......I use one of the seat mounting lugs on a 1200 .. It could be interference from the engine..

I am using a Centech AP-2 fuse box for the intercom (Baehr) power. And for the Zumo I am getting the power from BMW connector plug that fits the socket on the bike. When I bought it from the dealer he cut the center cord and said you don't need this. Its noisy when the engine is running.
Cheers.

Bingo

Thanks Bryn.
I disconnected the Zumo from GPS Sat Nav power socket (optional accessory socket) on the bike then I wired the unit directly to the Centech AP2 fuse box I have on the bike. Bingo the buzzing is gone.
cheers.
