Hi all,

Well I'm an illegal alien living in Scotland, I was kidnapped by the wife.

I have found a wee two bedroom cave in High Valleyfield fife, any Tossers live there, or can anyone comment on the area.

Thanks
Al

You are kidding, aren't you....?

The worst case of proverty and deprivation I ever saw was in High Valleyfield, when I was a Social Work Student 30 odd years ago. I visited one family just before Christmas and they were burning the doors and floorboards to heat the place. I think they'd probably burnt everything else by then.

Of course, it might have got a wee bit better but......:augie

High Valleyfield did have an appalling reputation as previous posters have said. I haven't lived in Fife for maybe 25 years, so I don't know if the area is still as bad, or has now improved. You need to look into that situation rather carefully!

Looking at that Bebo link, does suggest you meet a better class of people there (not).

Good luck

There's a bit of everything for everyone in High Valleyfield. From incest to heroin abuse.

You're lucky you went there 30 years ago. Now they burn social workers :thumb

I used to roadie for bands back in the eighties, first time in High Valleyfield Miners club I got told "If yer bands shite we'll burn yer van". At the interval the jukebox got ripped off the wall and thrown out the back door cause "We'll no be needin that noo, cos you'se will be playin here every Friday"

So I got to spend a lot of time in High Valleyfield, it's very rough and deprived but we had good times there.

better buying in Culross or Newmills....

they are only a couple of miles away from the ''Valley'', but worlds apart, on the coast as well, the old police station in Newmills has been renovated into a cracking house, '' Constable Cottage'' , looks good :thumb2 ( and the bloke selling it rides a GS !!)
